Some of you have already seen on FaceBook that I’ve launched a new eBook, Refill Your Cup.

It’s been brewing for awhile, and emerged from many of your inspired responses to the blog posts and by working with many of you over the past few years through the Room to Breathe mindfulness course, individual coaching, and holistic retreats.

I’m also excited to see Leading Edge Nursing’s greater mission, to value and honor caring for ourselves as important as our work is caring for others, is growing and transforming healthcare.

But we still have a ways to go.

That’s why I thought it was time to write Refill Your Cup and share with you three powerful and effective tools I use to keep replenishing my passion and connections at work; tools that too often get ignored because they seem so simple.

It’s true, they are simple and that’s the point. If something is complex, takes a lot of equipment or even a lot of motivation, it doesn’t get used as much.

And for those of you who like research, I also include some of the science behind these elements. You’ll see how they can enhance your relationships, bring you more energy and spark your joy.

Of course, it won’t solve all the problems in healthcare. What they can help you with, though, are those moments that typically drag you down and instead, give you the tools for positive and influential responses and actions.
