Stress Less, Enjoy More: Mindfulness for Health Professionals
Life and work are hectic, stressful, full of pressure and sometimes chaotic. The good news is, there are ways to not just manage the unpredictable and frustrating issues that arise day-to-day, but to actually shift these to greater ease, focus and enjoyment, with the practice of mindfulness. Mindfulness is more than a way to take a breath when moments are tough, it’s a way of being that will radically change how you think about work and your life forever.
Learn about my mindfulness course, as well. It’s designed just for you, the health professional.
The Pain and the Possibility: The Power of Therapeutic Suggestions and Imagery in Pain Management through Spoken Medicine
Imagery is a communication system bridging the body, mind and spirit using the imagination and all the senses for the purpose of relaxation, symptom management and personal discovery. Accessing your natural sensory system (sight, smell, taste, sound, touch and feelings (6th Sense) to its fullest and healthiest capacity, creates a mind-body experience that can transforms what is imagined to an actual biochemical response. Spoken Medicine takes this into the realm of therapeutic communication, elevating words into tools for healing.
Transformative Inquiry: The Quest for the Heart and Soul of Your Practice
Working without passion or knowing the power of your own healing gifts, makes caring for others difficult, dry and draining. Transformative Inquiry, however, a holistic and indigenous form of inquiry that integrates inner reflection, narrative storytelling and wisdom from nature that has the power to renew, restore and revive your practice. In this talk or longer program you’ll learn practices that can connect you with the heart and soul of your work, so you have the powerful impact you long for.
Your Healing Presence: Energy-Based Medicine for Self and Other
Energy-Based healing modalities are now considered to be an essential part of many holistic/integrative plans of care. This modality is based on ancient wisdom practices as well as modern quantum physics explaining that our human body, like everything in the universe is surrounded by an electromagnetic field. Energy-based medicine is tapping into this field when the nurse uses his/her hands, heart and mind in a particular way.
